Our Nurse Practitioner
AMY V. NGUYEN APRN, MSN, FNP-C
Amy Nguyen is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner and a native Houstonian. She obtained a Bachelor of Science in Health at the University of Houston. She completed a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the T. Boone Pickens College of Nursing at Texas Woman’s University in 2013.
She completed her nurse residency at MD Anderson Cancer Center, where she worked with leukemia, lymphoma, and stem cell transplant patients as well as contributed to research. After a few years, she worked in outpatient infusion therapy as an infusion and research nurse specializing in oncology and hematology. Amy completed a Master of Science in Family Medicine at Chamberlain University in 2019. Since then she has worked in the field research serving as a Sub Investigator and Primary Care provider.
Amy shares a passion for health prevention and is an advocate with patient education, she goes above and beyond for her patients. She is dedicated to bridging cultural gaps in care and is bilingual in Vietnamese. In her spare time, she loves jogging outdoors, spinning, cooking various dishes, reading, and enjoying movies at home. She loves to build relationships with her patients and hopes to bring her experiences, heart, and knowledge to Virtis Health.
